These terms and conditions govern the method and process of paying course fees for courses organised by EduJoy s.r.o. (hereinafter the "provider" or the "educational and retraining centre"), including cancellation and refund conditions.
The course fee can be paid in one of the following ways:
2.1 When choosing payment by bank transfer, the client receives the payment details or a QR code by e-mail (account number, variable symbol, amount, due date). An invoice can be issued on request.
2.2 The payment is considered settled at the moment the full amount is credited to the provider's account.
2.3 A place in the course is reserved for the client only after the payment has been credited to the provider's account, no later than the stated due date.
2.4 If the client fails to pay the course fee by the stated due date, the provider reserves the right to cancel the reservation of the place in the course and offer it to another applicant.
3.1 Online payments are processed through the Stripe payment gateway (operated by Stripe, Inc.), which accepts payment cards (Visa, Mastercard, etc.).
3.2 By entering payment details into the payment gateway and confirming the payment, the client places a binding order for the selected course and agrees to pay the stated amount.
3.3 All payment data (card number, CVC code, etc.) are processed exclusively on the secure servers of the Stripe payment gateway; the provider has no access to them and does not store them. The Stripe payment gateway complies with the PCI DSS (Payment Card Industry Data Security Standard) at the highest level of security, and all communication between the client and the payment gateway takes place over an encrypted connection (SSL/TLS).
3.4 The payment is considered settled at the moment the transaction is confirmed by the Stripe payment gateway.
3.5 After a successful payment, the client receives an automatic payment confirmation at the e-mail address provided with the order, or a tax document (invoice) in accordance with applicable legislation.
3.6 In the event of an unsuccessful transaction (e.g. the payment being declined by the client's bank), no place in the course is reserved and the client is asked to repeat the payment or choose another payment method.
3.7 The provider is not responsible for any fees charged by the client's bank in connection with the payment (e.g. foreign currency payment fees).
4.1 The course fee can also be paid by payment card in person at the office at Purkyňova 74/2, Nové Město, 110 00 Praha.
4.2 The payment is considered settled at the moment the payment is successfully authorised by the payment terminal.
4.3 A place in the course is reserved for the client only after the payment has been made at the office.
4.4 The provider issues the client a receipt on the spot, or a proper tax document in accordance with applicable legislation.
5.1 The course fee can also be paid in cash in person at the office at Purkyňova 74/2, Nové Město, 110 00 Praha.
5.2 The payment is considered settled at the moment the cash is handed over and a receipt is issued.
5.3 A place in the course is reserved for the client only after the payment has been made at the office.
5.4 The provider issues the client a receipt on the spot, or a proper tax document in accordance with applicable legislation.
A place in the course is bindingly reserved for the client only after the payment has been credited to the provider's account (for bank transfers), after the payment has been successfully processed by the Stripe payment gateway (for online payments), or after the payment has been made in cash or by card at the provider's office.
After receiving the payment (by bank transfer, via Stripe, by card or in cash), the provider issues the client a proper tax document, which is sent to the e-mail address provided with the order or handed over in person.
This section governs the procedure and conditions for cancelling participation in a course (hereinafter "cancellation") and for refunding payments made by the client.
8.1.1 The client may cancel their participation in the course in writing by sending an e-mail to [email protected]. The decisive moment of cancellation is the delivery of the e-mail to the provider.
8.1.2 The cancellation fee depends on the time remaining until the planned start of the course:
| Time before the course starts | Cancellation fee | Refund |
|---|---|---|
| 14 or more days before the start | 0 % | 100 % of the payment |
| 3–13 days before the start | 50 % | 50 % of the payment |
| 0–2 days / no notice | 100 % | 0 % |
8.2.1 The client may cancel their participation in the course in writing by sending an e-mail to [email protected]. The decisive moment of cancellation is the delivery of the e-mail to the provider.
8.2.2 The cancellation fee depends on the time remaining until the planned start of the course:
| Time before the course starts | Refund |
|---|---|
| More than 90 days before the start | The administrative fee of CZK 10,000 is non-refundable; the remaining amount will be returned to the client. |
| 60–90 days before the start | 50 % of the payment made will be refunded. |
| Less than 60 days before the start | The payment is non-refundable. |
8.3.1 If the client interrupts or ends their attendance after the course has started, they are not entitled to a refund.
8.3.2 For future lessons not attended, an alternative solution can be agreed individually in justified cases (e.g. long-term illness documented by a medical certificate) – a transfer to another course run or a refund of a proportionate part of the course fee, exclusively by mutual agreement with the provider.
8.4.1 Instead of cancelling, the client may request a free transfer to another scheduled course run, no later than 3 days before the start of the original course, provided the new date has free capacity.
8.4.2 A transfer to another date is free of charge only once; each further transfer may be subject to an administrative fee of CZK 500.
8.5.1 The provider reserves the right to cancel a course, in particular due to an insufficient number of enrolled participants, the lecturer's illness or other operational reasons, or to postpone the start of the course by no more than 28 calendar days. The stated course start date should therefore be considered preliminary. The provider is entitled to postpone the start date by no more than 28 calendar days, of which the participant will be informed without undue delay.
8.5.2 If the provider postpones the start of the course by more than 28 calendar days, the client is entitled to a refund of 100 % of the payment made, or to a transfer to another suitable course of their own choice. Within the range of up to 28 calendar days, the provider reserves the right to postpone the original course start date without the client becoming entitled to a refund for this reason.
8.6.1 Refunds of payments made by card at the office or via the Stripe payment gateway are processed the same way the payment was received, i.e. back to the client's payment card, usually within 14 business days of the refund being approved.
8.6.2 Refunds of payments made by bank transfer are sent back to the bank account from which the payment was made, or to an account specified by the client.
8.6.3 Refunds of payments made in cash are processed at the provider's office.
By paying the course price, the customer confirms that they have read these terms and conditions before making the payment, agree with them in full and undertake to comply with them. Payment of the course price concludes a contract between the provider and the customer and establishes a contractual relationship. No handwritten signature of the customer or separate signing of a paper contract is required for the conclusion of the contract.
10.1 These terms and cancellation conditions form an integral part of the contractual relationship between the provider and the client.
10.2 The provider reserves the right to amend these terms to a reasonable extent; for a specific order, the terms in force at the moment of enrolment in the course always apply.
If you have any questions about payment, cancellation or refunds, please contact us at [email protected] or by phone at +420 604 181 400.
These terms are valid and effective from the date of their publication on the www.edujoy.cz website.
